In the (Australian) summer of 2026 I started writing a novel, and loved that much of it could be broken up into individual short stories. Enjoying this format, I decided to keep writing short stories as well, and to put together a zine featuring a collection of them: Running Writing Volume #1 .

I decided to start the Running Writing Substack to allow even more freedom in publishing these stories - please subscribe to me there.

I named this project Running Writing, as the stories are usually stream of consciousness, written on the run - often on the notes app on my phone, on dog walks, while waiting for someone - and occasionally the ideas have come to me while I’m on a run or bike ride.

Orange Paw is the new solo project from songwriter Mara Williams (of bubblegum/garage bands The Pink Tiles and Pleather Purrs).

The album is available via Bandcamp, and all digital streaming services.

This debut release is a compilation of campfire tunes, lullabies and lo-fi pop demos, recorded in February 2021 in the middle suburbs of Melbourne. Limited 2nd run of Skink Tank's debut EP on cassette.

Skink Tank are three mates who like lizards and playing music together. Their style is punchy, defiantly optimistic and full of life, as they explore the wimpy side of pub rock.

Their first EP “Skink Tank” is a catchy collection of tracks that wants you to feel like it’s okay not to feel okay, and that you can even have fun with it. It addresses the big issues in life, such as being a party pooper during New Year’s Eve celebrations, daydreaming in the workplace, trying not to become your Dad, and buying your veggies locally except for when you don’t. It was recorded in between lockdowns at a disused farm in Lancefield, not far from the ancient Wurundjeri greenstone quarry, Wil-im-ee Moor-ring (“axe-place”).

The two latest singles from Hearts and Rockets, Workout and Dead As Disco , are both on this new double a-side 7” release, due out on limited edition white 7” vinyl on Saturday October 31, 2020.

Workout is a fun ode to home workout videos from the 80s and 90s. The forthcoming second single, Dead As Disco, is a synth heavy banger, ready for the dance floor.
